I have been involved in athletics and fitness since the age of five years old. I was a track and field athlete for thirteen years, competing and winning in multiple state championships. After high school, I chose not to pursue athletics in college for personal health reasons, but wanted to continue on the path of fitness. I graduated from Salisbury University in 2010 with a degree in exercise science, and then went to pursue a nursing degree. In 2012, I became a registered nurse and had the privilege of using my Bachelor's Degree in conjunction with my nursing degree to help numerous patients learn how to move and use their bodies again.
I met Josh in 2011 (at a gym of course), and we immediately bonded over our love for fitness. We found out I was expecting a few months later, and everything I had known in my life about my health and fitness was going to change forever. I gained 60 pounds, had numerous hormonal imbalances, and developed thyroid issues that will impact my weight and health. My purpose in life now is to share her experiences, struggles, emotions, and knowledge to help other women who have had similar struggles. I know what it is like to be uncomfortable in your own skin, and what it feels like to have those feelings of shame never leave you. I have also found my solution, which I am so happy to be able to share with everyone else. I am dedicated to motivating others to become the best version of themselves, to love themselves despite all of their flaws, and to embrace every part of this journey. Because at the end of the day, every stage is temporary, and we will always have something else to worry about.
We do our best to raise our child to have these principles of self love within him. But just like everyone else, I am human and fall short quite a bit. I will be forever grateful for our clients and them allowing me to be a part of their lives and their journey. Our clients become family, they celebrate our sons birthday with us, we celebrate special occasions with them, and we value their friendship.
My mission is to help impact as many people as possible, who struggle with mental illness and feelings of self hatred. I have lived through the change, and have seen other people overcome things people told them they would never be able to through fitness and nutrition. We have an incredible power at our fingertips, and so many lives will be changed.
Stay strong, embrace the challenges, and remember your story is worth being told. Stand proud, stay focused, and as always, Be You, Be More, & Be Strong!

As a young child I had terrible asthma which kept me from playing sports or being very active. To add insult to injury, a side effect of one of my medications was weight gain. At the age of 8 I began doing martial arts and was slowly able to build my endurance and some strength. However, my weight and eating habits were still a problem. At the age of 12 I had my cholesterol tested and it was nearly 400! This was the beginning of real change for me. I began to learn how my nutrition played a major role in my health, fitness, and appearance. At this time, I also began strength training and working on my flexibility. In high school I continued Martial Arts training and received my Black Belt in Chinese Kuoshu while also playing soccer. Over the years my fitness has not been a straight line. Moving, health issues, social-events, and general life stuff became excuses to avoid the gym or to eat poorly.
At 19 I moved home and was extremely dissatisfied with the way I felt and how I looked. I got back on the work-out wagon and was able to lose over 30 pounds in a couple of months. I went back to college at Towson University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing. Around 21 I decided that I wanted to learn some gymnastics to go along with the Martial Arts and I got really into it! I started competing in Acrobatics and doing some coaching as well. One day I decided I wanted to live by the beach, so I packed my bags and moved to Delray Beach, Florida. While there I got a job as a floor attendant working in a gym that catered to individuals with physical limitations. It was there I truly found my passion, helping others! I realized working in fitness I could help people become better versions of themselves similarly to myself. I got my first Personal Trainer Certification, with what little money I had, and began my career as a fitness professional.
Since I have been working specifically as a trainer, I have learned a lot from some really phenomenal people in this industry. I gained certificates in Performance Enhancement, Corrective Exercise, Functional Movement, Kettlebells, Olympic Weightlifting and was able to learn from a former US Olympic Team Coach and a multiple Master Kettlebell Instructors.
In my late twenties I met Elyse and we began our journey together later that year I tore my biceps tendon and was down to 1 arm for quite some time. In order to continue training I became very involved with Kettlebells and truly learned what a phenomenal tool they are. In 2013, we welcomed our son, Dexter, into this word and our whole life changed for the better. That year I also received my Master’s Degree Summa Cum Laude in Exercise Science with a concentration in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention.
In my career I have had the opportunity to work for some amazing companies and live in some awesome places! Besides Maryland and Florida, Elyse and I were able to move to Virginia and the Colorado. I’ve had the privilege of creating Group Personal Training programs for two major gyms and just knowing those programs have helped other people on their journeys is something for which I’m extremely grateful.
In 2016 our family was struggling with some serious health problems and we decided to move home to Baltimore. Since then we have opened our own Fitness and Nutrition Company and have had the privilege of working with many wonderful clients. Today our company is focused not only on individualized fitness training, but also on bringing fitness and nutrition to the world of Substance Abuse Recovery.
We work with multiple treatment centers and their patients to help aide their recovery and teach them how proper diet and nutrition can enhance not only their sobriety but their whole life. Being able to do this work is truly a blessing.
